One of our four Core Values is “We seek to be a blessing to others, especially those who can’t repay.” It reflects our shared desire to use all our talents and abilities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, and our shared belief that we are more blessed when we give than when we receive.
To that end, we pursue 2 distinct community-focused initiatives:
- Community Service Initiative: All MSB Law attorneys and staff, as well as friends and families, are encouraged to participate in quarterly non-legal community service projects.
- Pro Bono Initiative: We partner with specifically selected ministries and non-profits to provide free legal representation, to people in their programs, who are suffering hinderance or oppression from legal obstacles.

LEARN MORETestimonials
“Human trafficking is a global epidemic that is often overlooked, misidentified, and is impacting individuals, families, and communities right here in Kansas City and the surrounding areas. There are many challenges that survivors of human trafficking must overcome once they are on their path to healing and restoration. One of the big challenges is unresolved legal issues. Survivors of human trafficking often face legal issues for years, or even decades, after the fact. Those legal issues, if not taken care of, become barriers to housing, employment, and other basic needs for many survivors. Criminal histories also keep survivors from seeking help from law enforcement in fear of future arrests.
MSB has provided pro bono legal services for survivors that we work with at Relentless Pursuit Outreach and Recovery to help remove barriers and empower them to be able to move forward with their lives.”

“Through The Barnabas Group, Andrew Speicher turned his legal expertise into a mission—helping survivors of human trafficking overcome the legal barriers that prevent them from rebuilding their lives. His pro bono work began with a single expungement case and grew into a scalable justice initiative in partnership with The Joseph Project, empowering survivors to move from exploitation to restoration.”
